Voyatek’s Federal practice is seeking entry to mid-level Analytic Consultant I to support ongoing project operations and proprietary software development for our federal customers. As a consultant, you will work collaboratively with clients and colleagues to solve business problems using both quantitative (e.g., data engineering, data science) and qualitative methods (e.g., process improvement, management consulting).

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with Government clients to understand their business needs, define research objectives, identify data sources, and develop analysis plans.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis using large-scale Government data sources. Develop briefings and reports to communicate key findings to ASR colleagues and Government clients.
  • Work with teams of data scientists to build pipelines for data engineering and machine learning.
  • Work with teams of software developers to build tools for data visualization and analysis.
  • Develop recommendations based on completed research and analysis and present these recommendations to government clients.

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s in economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other quantitative field, or equivalent experience with on or more programming languages (e.g., Python, R SAS, SQL).
  • This position requires candidates to obtain a Federal Public Trust Clearance. Being a US Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident is required when obtaining a Federal Public Trust Clearance. 
  • Qualified candidates must be able to comply with the Federal government's vaccine mandate. 
  • 0-2 years of professional experience
  • 1+ years of experience using data mining methods, such as clustering or anomaly detection, to understand data patterns and select appropriate predictive techniques in an academic or professional setting
  • 1+ years of experience designing and building mathematical models using a variety of techniques, such as logistic regression, decision tree, or random forest, in an academic or professional setting
  • 1+ years of experience with statistical programming using tools such as Python, R, or SQL in an academic or professional setting Strong collaboration skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Experience with an object-oriented programming language, such as JavaScript or Python
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong client and team interaction skills.
  • Critical thinker with excellent attention to detail.

 

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is 47,300 to $73,300.
