We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Analyst I. This is a trainee level position with the Information Security and Compliance organization. This role is part of the US Signal University Program and is designed to develop new talent into technology targeted specific career paths through a concentrated, focused curriculum and on-the-job training in a corporate team environment. The Program consists of a combination of theory and practice at both the technical and business levels. Throughout the duration of the Program, the employee will learn more about the job, our organization and its practices, gain experience and exposure to new tools and technologies, and practice both the importance and art of customer service.

FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Learn how to respond to internal and external security alerts
  • Learn how to how to detect anomalies and understand potential impact of security events
  • Become proficient in security tooling
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Learn the value of, and contribute to, automation of recurring work
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and security standards, as directed
  • Foster a culture of documentation and sharing knowledge to enable growth


Experience and Skills:

What you bring to the team:

  • Associates degree or 2+ years professional experience
  • Energetic self-starter with a track record of determination, effort and achievement
  • Assume diligent responsibility for attendance and promptness
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle emergency situations
  • Outstanding organizational capabilities
  • Knowledge of networking and/or network certification(s)
  • Security certification(s) preferred

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $60,000 - $70,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

This position operates in a variety of environments including office environments and data centers. Possible occasional travel relative to training, conferences, customer site visits, etc. Most work is performed in a professional office environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones, and copier/scanner.
