Challenge
After witnessing the hardships of Shattered Spire, your final journey in Astraeus takes you to Skyreach, the last-standing city that still retains some of its former beauty. While Skyreach has weathered the economic storm better than its neighboring cities, it now faces significant challenges: overcrowding, environmental degradation, and a lack of affordable housing. To truly recover, Skyreach must lead by example in building a city that is both inclusive and sustainable.
In Skyreach, you meet Elyse, a visionary architect passionate about creating resilient and equitable urban spaces. She has worked tirelessly to develop green spaces, sustainable housing, and inclusive urban policies. However, she faces a pressing challenge: a major public hearing is scheduled for the following week, where Councilor Viktor Kane will advocate for his luxury development project that threatens to displace low-income residents.
As you assist Elyse in preparing for the hearing, you realize that the stakes are higher than ever. The Planetary Alliance's mission to save Novara from environmental and social collapse depends on successful interventions in cities like Skyreach. With the urgency to return to the future and ensure a sustainable path forward, you gather data and community testimonies to present a compelling counterproposal. This is a crucial moment not just for Skyreach, but for the vision of a thriving Novara that the Planetary Alliance is striving to achieve.
Your mission is to design a project that focuses on making Skyreach—and cities like it—more inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. You might develop visualizations that showcase sustainable city designs, create digital tools that empower citizens to participate in urban planning, or craft a campaign that highlights the importance of preserving affordable housing. Your innovative ideas could be the key to swaying public opinion and securing a future for Skyreach that prioritizes its residents over profit.
Your project will help lay the foundation for a new era of sustainable cities, ensuring that the communities of Astraeus have a future they can thrive in, and bringing you one step closer to fulfilling the Planetary Alliance's mission.
